Ingredients
- 8 ounces walleye fillets
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Place flour in a shallow dish or small bowl.
- In another bowl whisk together egg and milk.
- Combine bread crumbs, almonds, and thyme into a third bowl.
- Coat both sides of fillets with flour then dip fish in the egg mixture; dip in bread crumb mixture to coat the filet.
- Place fish in prepared pan. Drizzle with oil. Bake until fish begins to flake when tested with a fork (allow 4 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness of fish).
