Ingredients

  • 8 ounces walleye fillets
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

 

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Place flour in a shallow dish or small bowl.
  • In another bowl whisk together egg and milk.
  • Combine bread crumbs, almonds, and thyme into a third bowl.
  • Coat both sides of fillets with flour then dip fish in the egg mixture; dip in bread crumb mixture to coat the filet.
  • Place fish in prepared pan. Drizzle with oil. Bake until fish begins to flake when tested with a fork (allow 4 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness of fish).
