Golden Brown Deep Fried Perch

This just might be my personal favorite recipe for pan fish!  5 stars!



  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dry oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dry rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp dry marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp dry sage
  • 1/2 tsp dry basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preparation Instructions: 

Combine all dry ingredients in plastic zipper bag and shake well.  Scramble egg and 2 tbsp of water together. Take perch filet and dip into egg mixture.  Coat filet in remaining ingredients, and shake in the plastic bag.  Repeat by placing in egg mixture and recoating. Deep Fry the filet’s at 325 degrees (in vegetable oil) until golden brown.
