Winnebago’s Top 21 Walleye Anglers for 2011
by Mark Schram, MyFishingPartner.com
Have you ever wondered who the best tournament walleye angler was on Lake Winnebago in 2011? I have had this discussion with several other fishermen, and decided to devise a system to put together a standings list.
The criteria for the rankings goes a little something like this: Tournaments considered included the Anglers Insight Marketing (Aim Pro Walleye), The Boat Doc series (Final standings only), Mercury National/Walleye Weekend, Otter Street, and the Midwest Walleye Series (Winnebago event only). Why these tournaments were selected….simple….there the only ones with posted results which included the main lake within the tournament boundries.
Only the top 25 teams or top 50 individual anglers were taken into consideration. This is a very crude nearly scientific method, which has a large margin of error. The number of tournaments fished is a key component to this ranking. So here is the top 10 list, with 10 honorable mentions. The author accrued enough points to make the honorable mention category, but I have left myself off of the posted list below.
1. Kyle Harmsen
2. Michael Galligan
3. Rick Keilman
4. Tom Hoinacki
5. Stuart Wells
6. Wayne Hoelzel
7. Tim Theder
8. Dave Theder
9. Travis Trepanier
10. Gary Henschel
Honorable Mentions (not in order): Cameron Lewis, Tim Euting, Randy Harwood, Jake Lapine, Tom Kemos,Rob Teske, Wayne Gregor,Mike Meetz, Jimmy Hughes, and Rich Stadler
