how much ice is out there right now. wanna go out in Oshkosh this week.

found about 8-9" of ice out on the main lake. only went out about a 1/4 mile. No fish.

I was out on the lake for a few moments today. Near Subway road in FDL there was a good 12-13" of ice today. Trucks were parked about 3/4 of a mile out on the lake. Lake snow cover was good for travel with a four wheel drive. No fish

Went out in oshkosh off of merit or otterstreet(look for the big group) today from 745 to 1230. Caught one whitebass, 2 perch. When we went on in the morning had to cross the crack--no bridge, but bridges were on when we came off. When we left we tried to cross the crack where we came on, but it didnt work so well. Guy in the lead (from our group) put the front end of his truck in. We got it out luckily. So hint DO NOT TRY TO CROSS THE CRACK!

I have had some reports of the bridges being inserted at Merit Street, Calumet, and Stockbridge. Recent ice reports are indicating ice depth up to 16" in some areas.

FYI,

The clubs plan to pull bridges on Sunday afternoon March 7, 2010. All shacks and shanties need to be removed from the ice on this day. Any left on the ice on March 8th or after are subject to DNR fines. Just a friendly reminder!
