Twitter Comes to My Fishing Partner
As of July 2009, Myfishingpartner.com has added Twitter.com to the site, allowing fishermen to receive real time fishing information on the Winnebago System (WI) via their cell phone. A traditional fishing report is a history of what has occurred previously and can be several days or weeks old, as opposed to what is happening right this second, Founder/Member of My Fishing Partner LLC. Mark Schram said recently. This innovation changes the playing field for all anglers.
The updates are planned to be sent on the weekends only, when the most fishermen will benefit from the service. An occasional update may be sent during the week, but these are planned to be seldom. We will also refrain from sending the text during Walleye Weekend and Otter Street weekends to prevent an angler in the tournament from having an unfair advantage.
To sign up to receive the texts via your phone, click on the “follow” button located within the Live Updates! Sent "Real Time" from the Boat! On the front page of myfishingpartner.com. Once subscribed, the text will automatically be sent to your phone via text message from Twitter. Standard text messaging rates apply from your cell phone carrier.
